BURAK (DE)

Burak is a composer, bassoonist and choreographer. In 2008 he founded Musica Sequenza; an ensemble which stands for the innovation of baroque music. He created internationally renowned productions as “Sampling Baroque", “Hermes” and the immersive sound installation series “Transmute”. In 2010 Burak moved back to Berlin, where he practices new performance modalities through self-developed methods. Istanbul born sound artist Burak appears with his live sets in clubs as Berghain, Sisyphos, KitKat, Kammgarn, Wagenhallen, Radialsystem V and Bomontiada Istanbul to name a few. He records for Sony Music, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Neue Meister and Tacet Nota labels. Burak also gives educational workshops at universities and festivals around the world for bassoonists, ensembles and electronic music composers.
