MARS (US)

A Pakistani-American living in Hong Kong, Mars is a producer and DJ who's eclectic sound and selection is a product of the amalgamation of cultures she experienced. Growing up in Chicago with a father who's love for Western music introduced her to the likes of Santana, Pink Floyd, Bee Gees, Boney M. and all things 80s early on, Mars taught herself guitar as a teenager at the height of the indie dance/rock era pouring through the sounds of Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem and Bloc Party. Later developing an affinity towards synthesizers and drum machines, Mars shifted her focus to dance, disco and house, connecting the sounds of her childhood to the modern dancefloor.
