Skratchy Ego was born in South Africa and after finishing high school, He went to Johannesburg to study Music at Fuba Academy Majoring in Jazz Studies. He graduated after Three Years and Went on to study Live Sound and Production. He also attended The Business of Music Course . The aim of the course was to equip Music industry Practitioners to Understand the Business side of Music. It covered subjects Like Copyright, Publishing, Running a Label, Collection Societies, Branding and More. The Course was facilitated by none other than Copyright Specialist Mr Graeme Gilfillan from South Africa and Mr Keith Donald from Ireland who is a Board member of the Irish Music Rights Organization, and The Mechanical Copyright Protection Society of Ireland.
