 African techno artists are few and far between. Van Afrika believes Africa and other parts of the world need more representation on the global techno stage. He wants create a platform which makes this dream a reality. Van Afrika has been a DJ for many years. Although he started his career at the Technics DJ Mix Club way back in 2000, he really started to make a name for himself after moving to Tokyo, Japan in 2013. Japan has a special place in Van Afrika’s heart. It was in Tokyo that he was inspired to refocus his passion for quality underground music and performing and was able to to perform regularly at some of the cities best clubs.
