Umgido

Hailing from East London in South Africa, Umgido are leaders in a new age UMGIDO sound. This unique sound blends Afro, Amapiano and GQOM melodies with classic notes of electro house and has fast piqued interest far beyond the borders of South Africa. Through a deeply bonded collaborative partnership the duo, comprising of DJ Athie & Da Fresh has long been honing their crafts. In 2016 DJ Athie began focussing on music full time and moved to Cape Town to attend the Bridges Academy where he graduated with their inaugural intake. Athie is a Resident DJ and also producer on #TheHouseConnect on 5FM, one of South Africa's leading radio stations, putting on a lot of South Africa's unheard talent.
