Turntable Kachina was created as a creative outlet for Northern Arizona DJ & Artist Bear Cole. He grew up living in The Grand Canyon National Park, about 5 minutes from the Rim of one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. He also spent time growing up living on the Navajo Reservation. The area is a spiritual home base for many Native American tribes including the Hopi. As a child he remembers visiting the Hopi Dances and Ceremonies, and was always obsessed with the Kachina Dancers. He drew them everywhere as a child. When he grew up and started making music it was only natural that his music began to shape from these influences from his past. Turntable Kachina melds this Worldly past, with the jutting pings and Hip-Hop loops of Bear's influences musically. Turntable Kachina's music always has a goal to mix Organic and Digital mediums into cohesive Sound Scapes. Many of the projects and songs you will hear on Turntable Kachina's albums were created for Video Games and Film. From Documentaries to Horror Movies Turntable Kachina has worked to set the sonic mood. This makes this producer's music perfect for studying, contemplation, or in your headphones on your next hike.
