The duo came to life in 2019 and as the name suggests a 'Social Club' is a place where people come together to enjoy doing what they love...in this case making music. The dubious and unlikely coming together of a Professor of Audio, Josh O'Connor with a veteran of the 'rave', former Radio One presenter and head honcho of Excentric Muzik imprint, the loveable Irish rogue DJ Fergie, is guaranteed to produce something unconventional and exciting.
They met at the College of Southern Nevada Las Vegas where Josh was teaching a Masterclass in Music Production
and Fergie was one of the students. Already impressed with Josh's knowledge and talent as producer it was his unexpected leaning towards the more 'dungeonesque' sounds which was in complete contrast to his incredible soulful singing voice that intrigued Fergie so he invited Josh to his studio to find out more about this surprising and exciting discovery.
It was a meeting of kindred spirits musically, with Josh's voice creating a perfect foil and contrast for Fergie's music
creations. The result was the newly formed The Sonic Social Club; a side group and collaborative project that although only in its infancy their productions are already creating a lot of interest. With their new imprint Kosmic Kulture ready to go, make sure to check them out.
