Despite having been persistently branded as eccentric for much of his career, The LB has continued to develop his whimsical repertoire, deepen his surreal catalog, and expand his devoted audience beyond the boundaries of cult stature.Starting his career in Soweto, South African,The LB has been compared to such other African music figures as Black Coffee,Oskido,MDU and DON Jazzy, specifically because of his versatility in composing and arrangement style, though his production/composition bears shades of the late jazz legend Hugh Masikela and the living legend DON LAKA. Switching gears early to front KeMet Lands, a production band specializing in melodic, chiming jangle percussions and native African sounds (Sons Of The Soil Ep remains a classic offering by the duo), Prior to joining KeMet Lands, The LB has already achieved 6 top charting ep’s and singles currently available world wide . Imagine That (2010) confirmed his reputation as an oddball thanks to his amazing production skills and the sensational vocals by songwriter/vocalist famously known KeyLA, among others. The incredible LESEDI Ep (2011) followed, as did the all-acoustic New Love Ep (2012). By 2013, The LB 's unpredictable entrepreneur mind set Later that year, established his own recording label demonstrated his command of the music business practise. In 2014, he landed his first major publishing contract with Sheer Publishing Africa and followed the signing by releasing the ambitious UPRISE Ep. He continued to produce his first signed hiphop artist’s album, within 3 weeks after the album release, it received a number #1 position in one of the best selling albums at EMusic, international and national radio airplay and went on to sell GOLD via door to door activation in form of physical cd’s.
