Rex Hood Nation is a Beatmaker, music producer, and songwriter from Cameroon. He developed a curiosity for percussion and symphony shaping various genres of Music, from Cameroon's local popular music (Samali, Bitkusi, Makossa, etc.) to world- renowned music genres (Jazz, Soul, Pop and HipHop/Trap). He particularly enjoys melding elements of classical music, traditional African music, and HipHop into his vibrant beats. I started as a Beatmaker under the artistic influences of Dr. Dre, Swiss Beats, Timbaland, and Kanye West. I grew up in a remote village in Cameroon and I never had the opportunity to own a musical instrument. However, I was immersed in local traditional music and rhythms.
