Nährwerk

Nährwerk was conceived in an abandoned Lawyer’s office, somewhere between the floorboards of Lucerne’s Molobar and it’s underground club. With ceilings too low to stand, the term ‘bury yourself into something’ is probably all the more applicable to the duo who’s production process of their recent debut album “Sonar” came as a result of their immersion in such a confined space, encircled by synths and drums. Nährwerk works from a variety of sources and influences, be it modular synthesisers, tribal Ugandan samples, field recordings or self recorded vocals, drum beats and percussion. Everything is utilised and modified to create their diverse and distinctive sound. This variety is something the two Jazz-trained musicians bring to the Club. Not something for ascetic puritans, Nährwerk mixes analog with digital, improvisation with arrangement and self-built
