Inspired by exposure to artists like Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Yello and Kraftwerk at a very young age, Elaine became increasingly interested in electronic music and began to experiment with synthesizers and an Amiga. Her journey into the dance music scene began when she produced and hosted a local TV show about dance clubs in Calgary, taking her into the DJ and club world. She was fascinated by the interaction between the DJ and dance floor so she became the light technician at a local nightclub called The Banke, eventually landing the DJ residency in 1989, playing deep jazzy funky House and Techno. Her passion for the underground electronic music scene grew, loving the music, artistic atmosphere, peaceful attitude and open minded dancers, so she decided to start throwing
