Who is Mike Bugout?In a time where being a “DJ” is a popular endeavor and the tools of the trade are easily available, Mike is quite the different character. Mike grew up collecting vinyl records and fell in love with house music at a young age.Along the way, he developed a unique sound, that is packed with energy yet still appeals to those who prefer a more drum-driven, techy feel.Over the last few years, Mike has spun alongside almost every major DJ in the industry, many times even being requested by artists as the direct support on major shows. From intimate rooftop parties to major festival stages, Mike has performed at a wide range of shows. In particular, he has shared the booth with Laidback Luke on almost 10 different shows and formed a friendship that has helped Mike progress to where he is today.Mike calls New York City home, and can be found monthly spinning to 1000s of party people on Pacha NYC’s Main Floor. In addition, one Saturday a month he has a successful residency at the world-renown Pink Elephant. Outside of New York, Mike currently enjoys a monthly residency at Baltimore’s Mosaic Nightclub as part of the massive Power Plant Live.Mike’s work in the studio has garnered early success as well. His reboot of Skitzofrenix & Jeff Doubleu’s “Rushin” was featured by Tiesto on his Club Life mix show & Podcast (Episode 254) & wasalso supported by George Acosta among other DJs. Tiesto again featured Mike’s work on his Club Life show in the Spring of 2013 and then on a much larger scale in the Summer when he debuted Mike’s edit of his classic “Feel It In My Bones” at Tomorrowland in Belgium. He went on to feature Mike’s work at Creamfields, Electric Zoo, Tomorrowworld and all his major shows.His long awaited first single “Lynx” was just released on Richard Grey’s G*High Records on Beatport showcasing a more deep and dark side to Mike’s well rounded sound.
