MidAir was already intrigued by electronic music in 2002 and soon enough he developed a passion for drum’n’bass in particular. He had his breakthrough in 2013 at the K4 club, since then he has been an active member of the d’n’b scene, from smaller local to bigger events and festivals. We had the opportunity to hear him play on the big stage at the Hospitality event in Ljubljana. Together with Trdee, Drumwise Lunik and many others fellow bassheads he runs series of drum’n’bass events called LiquiFi evenings. He started working on his own production in 2015. With his broad range of music and dynamic style he covers many aspects of drum’n’bass, from playful light, “liquid” tunes to heavy, darker and especially harder beats. For inspiration, he usually turns to labels such as Shogun Audio, Hospital Records, Symmetry Recordings and Dispatch Recordings. Producers that had a large influence on him and his work are SpectraSoul, Break, DLR, LSB and Calibre.
