Messerschmidt

Following a year of live performances in the Detroit circuit and various remixing endeavors, new-comer Messerschmidt (aka Rob Messerschmidt) emerges from the studio to present his first studio LP “Isolator”. Despite the specific title, “Isolator” blurs the lines between IDM, Techno, Trance, Ambient and even Drum and Bass. Utilizing unique sound design coupled with surround sound recording, Messerschmidt delivers an album that can be enjoyed on headphones all the while being danceable. Messerschmidt’s unique production style is made evident as every track constantly evolves; dissolving the clear distinction between percussion, backing synth lines and melodic effects.
