melde is the artist project of Lee Duck, a Texas-born musician, producer, and visual artist known for founding influential electronic metalcore band Sky Eats Airplane. After a whirlwind youth playing Warped Tour and pushing genre boundaries, Duck withdrew from songwriting to pursue lighting design for high-profile artists and major tours. 14 years later, he re-emerges shaped by the transformative nature of warehouse dance floors, and focused on creating electronic music with a message. Based in Los Angeles, melde explores hypnotic and industrial techno through a lens of introspection and transformation. His music blends the emotional weight of silence and the euphoria of rediscovery—hard-hitting, hypnotic, and deeply human.
