Lomi is a musician and sound artist who focuses on emotional and societal dimensions of interconnectedness. His creative practice converges at the intersection of sound, architecture, and data-driven exploration of social relationships. Inspired by architect Peter Smithson's view on Brutalism not being concerned with the material as such, but rather the quality of the material - that is with the question of what it can do - lomi's work explores it as a creative principle in electronic music through crafting immersive soundscapes that interact directly with space, evoke emotions and stimulate engagement. After co-founding BRUTALISM in 2015, he uses the label as a cultural research platform that explores sonic forms through materials, textures and structure. The label introduces a unique approach at the intersection of electronic music and spatial aesthetics.
