KAYA (US)

French native KAYA, born Jean-Philippe Kaya, merges his background in classical piano and composition along with an innate passion for electronic music to push boundaries and test novel approaches to sound. With roots from Cameroon and Congo, and having lived across three countries and two continents, the Los Angeles-based DJ / Producer draws inspiration from the beats of his past to develop his own singular style. Since learning how to DJ during the pandemic, KAYA's blend of lush chords and high energy drops has led him across North America warming up the decks for the likes of MEDUZA, deadmau5, KREAM, Joel Corry, A-Trak and Habstrakt. On the production side, KAYA's releases and collaborations have collectively garnered over 3 million streams on Spotify, and have been heard at festivals such as EDC
