Born in Japan, Ish D grew up in West Texas and developed an obsession for music early on. He began producing music at the age of 13 after discovering FL Studio. Growing up, his ears were influenced by the latest and elusive unreleased mixtapes his older cousins would show him and the records of Anita Baker, Kool G Rap, and Parliament that his parents would play at home. As he settled in Dallas, where his career began to thrive, Ish D garnered national success including placements with artists such as Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, Snow Tha Product, and a heavy list of TV/film placements. While his success as a hip-hop producer was influenced by Kanye West, NERD, and The Dream, Ish D's passion for making house black again has been inspired
