DJ Beefburger

I love music and have been remixing and DJing since the late 1990s. I love house, techno, drum & bass, industrial, and EDM in general. I am a child of roller rinks, warehouse parties, temporary venues, and dives - places of eager acceptance, places of refuge. I love improvization, the unexpected, the weird. I am an artist wielding sounds. I am a student of intention. My process is to create music that originates from samples snipped out of field recordings, conversations, or improvised jam sessions. My handheld recorder does a lot of heavy lifting, from auditorium mini-grands to backyard drum circles to Spacepod Studio sessions. I cut up these digital recordings and manipulate them with samplers and sequencers to create truly unique sounds, around which I layer familiar instruments and
