David Morris

David Morris, saxophonist has been described as having a 'cool languorous sound'. Born and bred in south London and playing in various London jazz and blues ensembles including with the soul band, Roadrunners for many years. Influenced by the big names in jazz - Coltrane; Miles - and the prodigious talents of the more contemporary young crossover players: Ezra Collective; Nubya Garcia; Camilla George. He had a former career in community social work, the NHS and academia. For the past ten years David has played with the Green Chain Quartet pinning down a Bluenote label style that attracts a regular audience to their monthly gig on the first Thursday in the month at the Daylight Inn, Petts Wood where they also donate their door money to the Bromley Food Bank,
