Alex Brackin known as BRAQS currently resides in Ibiza but originally from chelmsford, Essex in the UK. Growing up around London he was subdued to mainly electronic music, from grime to dubstep and DNB. This then led to BRAQS to buying his first set of 1210s and learning to mix mostly concentrating on DNB.The journey then led to House and Techno when BRAQS decided to make the move further north. After visiting Sankeys Manchester he was massively influenced by house music. While studying at Coventry university he then spent most of his time travelling the UK, Netherlands and Germany visiting various venues and finding inspiration in his most idolised DJ’s and Producers.Now resident DJ of the prestigious ‘Lost in Ibiza’ and Co-founder of Emerge Ibiza, BRAQS has supported the likes of Detlef, Russ Yallop, Hector, Hector Couto, Richy Ahmed, Lauren Lo Sung and more, also hosting a weekly residency at Eden super club ibiza supporting DJ Sneak, Mark Knight, Weiss, Marshall Jefferson to name a few as well as playing on the iconic sunset strip at Savannah’s.Among other big achievements this year BRAQS also played for the Abode opening party at Sankeys Ibiza featured on the same bill as, wAFF, Solardo, Miguel Campbell, Second City. and to polish of the season he played at the Do Not Sleep/Unusual Suspects Sankeys season finale supporting Darius Syrossian, Ronni Spiteri, Detlef, Roberto Capuano, Praslesh and more.Production wise he recently had his ’That balloon Track’ EP released in August on SubTech Collective which gained massive support from industry pioneers Marco Carola and Richie Hawtin.
