Altemotiv

Altemotiv is an electronic music duo based in Berlin. They formed in 2018 by Aristos Alivanis and Aris Karoubis, as a music production and live performance project. The duo met back in 2015 in Thessaloniki while studying audio engineering. Altemotiv’s music can be described as a mixture of lo-fi textures and hypnotic melodies surrounded by warehouse four to the floor beats along with old school rave aesthetics. For their live performances they use various analog synths, drum computers, samplers and other pieces of hardware gear. They have been performed in many underground events, as well as sharing the stage with a few local and international artists.
