"Washing Up" also has a little story to tell: Through some twist of fate it landed on the playlist of BBC Radio 1's Soulwax DJs last winter. To this day, people have asked Bpitch Control almost every day about the composer demanding more information. How the track got onto BBC Radio 1 is still kind of mystery though... Tiga, who has been a fan of Tomas Andersson from the start, wanted to remix the track right away, which he did, as you can hear. On side B he starts out disco-ish and playful, delineating the theme with other devices, before conjuring up a similar bass storm. One more thing: With "Washing Up", Tomas captures Berlin today. Tomorrow, or rather in late summer, it'll be the whole world with his corresponding first album on BPitch Control. So make a note in your calendar.
