For their latest release, Sudbeat look to the southern hemisphere once again and an artist who over recent years, has firmly established himself as one of Australia's most promising DJ's and producers, Rich Curtis. Having studied under the masters of progressive house, supporting the true heavyweights as they've toured Queensland, Rich Curtis has become the ultimate touring support for the likes of Sasha, John Digweed and of course Hernan Cattaneo.
Having carved out a successful career as a DJ and party promoter, 2010 saw Rich turn his attention to the art of production. His first releases were immediately picked up by Cid Inc for Replug Records and since then he has gone on to release and remix for labels including "Open Other End" is a perfect example of Rich's talent for creating epic and uplifting, synth-laden and wonderfully melodic pieces.
On the remixes Sudbeat welcome two label debutants. A fresh new talent in Nikko Z and the established Dutch producer, Paul Hazendonk. Greek producer Nikko Z, a graduate of the International Institute of Athens, is a producer on the rise. His rework adds more drive to the original as he matches abrasive synth riffs with delicate melodies. Manuel Music boss Hazendonk takes us on a deeper journey, tenderly layering his sounds, topping them with a dreamy key melody.
