On their first outing on Retrometro the Jack In Out boys let us know what they're about, laying down three tracks in very different styles. From the nostalgia of Down There to the nervous futurism of Roll Off, via heads-down, lights-out techno of Xpresshun. Down There (Homage To The Past Edit) lives up to its name, bringing some warm balearic vibes, and a tear to the eye of every old raver. Roll Off packs a real punch. The mechanical percussion and cavernous dub melts combine to create a dystopian city scape, somewhere between Berlin and Birmingham. Xpresshun is a good, honest acid workout in the finest tradition.
