In 2007 Nick Curly and Marc Scholl started Cécille Records, in 2008 came the sub-label Cecille Numbers and now, 5 years later, a new strand arrives in the form of CIC [sik].
CIC promises to bring a more melodic and song-like feel to the family, whilst Numbers continues to deliver the weapons for the crowd and the mother label Cécille brings the club music .
The first outing from CIC is the Guilty Pleasures EP, which comes from the Portugal-based Johnwaynes. Three main tracks on the 12 and the digital releases comes armed with 3 digital bonus tracks. The EP opens with Wild West - sick vocals accompanied with a dark groove and a lick of something special...Second track Show me that you mean it has a vocal from up-and-comer Stee Downes and perfectly demonstrates the melodic side of CIC we aim to bring - and tells a story of meaning and truth. Third track Wet starts with a naked direct groove and the offensive vocals from Sonja James.
