German deep house aficionados, Vincenzo (Poker Flat, Dessous) and Sebastian 'Basti' Doring (of Knee Deep fame) join forces to launch their new label, Teardrop Music. The first release is the epic Gentle EP by Lovebirds. Following numerous releases on labels such as Winding Road and Ben Watt's Buzzin' Fly, Lovebird's latest EP comes hot on the heels of recent outing on Freerange Records, 'The Rat'. Lead track GENTLE has enjoyed huge support over the last few months, capturing the imagination of a broad cross-section of DJs and listeners the world over. Dubbed a "future deep house classic" by Jimpster, this track has been skilfully reworked for this package by the mighty Ian Pooley (Pooled, NRK). For the funkier floors, TUESDAY is a slab of melancholic, mid-tempo discotronica, while JUICY is an 80s-inspired downtempo groove featuring slick MPC drums, warm key progressions and superb retro synth work. A credit to the dynamism of the Lovebirds project, this new EP offers even the most discerning listener a refreshing take on contemporary electronic music. Watch this space!
