Bulletdodge proudly welcome Arnaud Le Texier back to the label for BDR043, this time with an excellent EP, named 'Bullet EP'. The EP consists of three strong original tracks and a suberb remix from Mark Reeve. Theres a distinguishing detroit feel prevalent throughout the E.P. and this is certainly apparent in the first track, 'Mighty Chord'. Mighty Chord is a storming deep tech monster, built from rattling, dubby stabs, soft pads and a pulsing bass. Contributing a stunning interpretation, visionary producer, Mark Reeve secures much of the originals energy and manages to add a substantial amount of groove based tech-house flavour. Next we have 'Yepa', an opening outburst of astounding rhythms and fx gives way to a Detroit influenced arpeggio that leads into a fittingly performed breakdown. Closing track,'Untitled Bullet', strides further into deep techno territory with a subtle bassline and clipped drum machines. A very nicely arranged piece, the track grooves and swings its way to a thoughtful breakdown before winding down with a DJ-friendly outro....
