Actor One is the project of Ison & Christos Mavridis hailing from Greece. Weve last featured these guys on Heidi's 'Jackathon' compilation (via Get Physical); so what have they been up to in the mean time? 'Building Strike'. We found it fitting for Kindisch, so lets get into it. The title track is a deep mix of rhythmic bass and effective percussion. The synth work stays simple, and thus contagious. Then it raises the energy level and throws some vocal at you. This is a track for dark sweaty loud rooms. 'Blow Up' is a lowly stepping bass line with 4/4 snare cracks with shakers inbetween. The vocal line keeps things smooth and cool. After the break, dirty piano chords infest the airwaves and darken the mood. If you give Ben Hoo a track, you can be sure he will do something great with it. His remix of 'Building Strike' is no exception. Ben attacks it with his signature groove of deep tones and bubbling percussion, turning it into an early morning chaser.
