Having overrun most major cities, the Kannibalen plague now spreads to the forests and waterways of the countryside, devastating climates and casting a cloud of darkness over much of the Earth. In the American Midwest, a pack of infected wolves has reacted strangely to the Kannibalen virus, having been transformed into great were-beasts with cunning intelligence. The leader of the pack, Kai Wachi, must now guide his wolves to safety, for the wilderness is filled with bands of flesh-eating monsters even more dangerous than himself. As he attempts to grasp the realities of his new existence, he fills the night with the chilling sound of his blood-curdling howls.
Amnesty is the debut EP of Kai Wachi, a young producer hailing from Boise, Idaho. Fresh off collaborations with fellow Kannibalen producer Karluv Klub and a featuring on the summer compilation Kannibals at the Beach, Kai Wachi is back with an impressive trio of dancefloor-ready electro-influenced tracks. Amnesty starts off with a haunting atmospheric intro reminiscent of Kai Wachis previous hit Dissolve that builds up into a head-nodding electro beat intercut with emotive vocal samples. With Kannibal, Kai Wachi has concocted a new anthem for all flesh eaters, using alarm-like synth stabs, metallic bass hits and driving snare rolls to create a sonic feast of audio destruction. Cranium then ups the tempo to 125 bpm and combines fidgety leads, growling bass lines and big room drums to close out the EP on a high energy note.
