Born in Barbados and raised in the US, Canada, UK and Zimbabwe, Fdot1 brings a wealth of life experience and musical influences to his sound.He started his career in street ciphers in Barbados where he was known as J Flo. Flo started producing for other Bajan artists at an early age using just a Roland W30, an MPC60 and a tape deck in his bedroom under the name Floriginul. He went on to master his craft working at one of Barbados’s premier recording studios under the tutelage of Anthony Lowhar. His talent was spotted by an A&R exec who was visiting the island and landed himself a contract in the US when he was just 17 years old.Fast forward a few years and Flo came to live in the UK.
