Fresh out of Denmark, and just taking his baby-steps towards international stardom, Mike Hawkins has already had an amazing journey so far.Born and raised in the city of Aarhus, he has done everything from producing and DJ’ing to masterminding festivals for tens of thousands in his home-country of Denmark, the small kingdom also responsible for giving us Carlsberg and danish pastry.With a massive year under his belt, Mike has quickly set his producer-mark on a very successful 2011/2012 campaign, which included tracks supported by artists such as Sander van Doorn, Tiesto, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Steve Aoki, Erick Morillo, David Tort, Paul van Dyk, Oakenfold and much more.Productions such as “Not Another Anthem”, “Just Be You”, “Common Ground” and “Cherrycoke” alongside remixes for house music heavyweights like Serge Devant, Erick Morillo and Wally Lopez have all contributed to a growing spotlight on Mike Hawkins. With the exception of a few Winter Music Conference parties during Miami 2011 and succesful tours in Brazil (including the worlds #2 club, Green Valley) and Europe, Hawkins has primarily built up his audience throughout scandinavia, playing support for luminaries like Trentemøller, Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn, Fedde Le Grand, Eric Prydz & Mark Knight - all adding to the hype around this danish phenomenon.Mike Hawkins provides an eclectic blend of music in conjunction with strong crowd interaction to create an atmosphere touching both the ears and hearts of all who hear him live.2012 has been really groundbreaking for Mike Hawkins, who recently signed with EMI / Virgin Music, releasing singles for the international market on heavyweight imprints Positiva, Ultra, Spinnin’ & household Megaton Records amongst others. Looking to the future, there are already gigs lined up for Hawkins in South America & Europe, and rumour has it the young dane - half American by his heritage - is planning his grand return to the home of his family, USA, with plenty of new tricks up his sleeve along the way.More and more people are joining the ride - will you?
