Gera Akate

Born in the 90's on the island of Puerto Rico. Gera Akate began her musical voyage playing saxophone in 1999. Years later her enthusiastic interest for synthesizers and sound design emerge. Behind the decks, her versatile, futuristic and innovative sound rouses listeners around the globe, and with a deep sense of purpose, she navigates her way transmitting uplifting feelings of joy and liberation. Her unique sound have found homes in with Life and Death, Little Helpers and her label Akochema. Gera has played extensively North America and South America. Her enigmatic presence on the stage has allowed her to flow effortlessly from intimate clubs to large festivals.
