Freek Wigbold, a Dutchman wearing the Italian moniker for 'strange', does require some explanation. Brain-dancing, broken rave beats, drowned in melodies might do the trick. A producer of spine-tingling techno for over 10 years, Freek Strano's DJ-set is both physical and emotive and his productions follow the same path. Known for his evocative and fluent mixing of deeper, rather odd electronic music styles, Freek does something strangely magical with a room.Venues include his own monthly clubnight at Simplon (Groningen) called ONGEHOORD, Club MIKZ (Berlin), Doornroosje (Nijmegen), Studio 80 (Amsterdam) among many, many others.
