Andrew Shatnyy

Andrew Shatnyy

Born in the USSR in Lipetsk aka “Russian Detroit,” Andrew’s first clubbing experience was lived out in the DJ booth. At the age of sixteen, Andrew started producing music influenced by Chemical Brothers, Norman Cook and the Chicago DJ Lee Burridge. A few years later, Andrew took a step forward from the UK with most tracks being oriented towards German sound at the time. 2005 brought the release of the first official LP “Mashrooms” flooded with tribal infusions and heavy African percussions. Later, Shatnyy would move toward the electro side of house music while keeping Spanish and African vibes. This is Andrew Shat nyy; a weird combinat ion of t ribal t ech components with the Soviet soul at the core.
