Andre de Jong

Andre de Jong (real name Andre Bentrup) was born in Bielefeld in 1977. He developed his musical talent in childhood by attending the Bielefeld Music and Art School for many years and by learning to play the flute. As a child Andre was inspired by synth pop bands like Alphaville and Depeche Mode. Inspired by bands like Metallica and Nirvana, he began playing drums in his youth, later switching to electric guitar and becoming lead guitarist for the melodic metal band Precarious. In 1996, Andre bought a Roland MC-303 groovebox from his late grandma’s inheritance. He started playing live acts and was a DJ on Sundays at Café Europa in Bielefeld. As a live act Andre had gigs next to Steve Mason, Tom Novy, Mark Spoon, Timo Maas and Westbam, to name a few. Andre`s music
