Soulshaka

Brett Loftus, aka, Soulshaka, comes from the Gulf Coast and was raised in the Disco Donnie Era of Freebass Society days in New Orleans. He was amazed and hooked after going to his first party in a wonderfully dirty warehouse. This was a time when to become a dj was like an underground kept secret instead of just some popular fad. He bought his first turntables in 1996 and spent countless hours in a small room practicing and learning how to match beats by ear. He later started playing out at different venues. He started to nibble into production in 2000 and has tried to continue to progress more and more at it. His main aspect that he focuses on is to always get up when you fall
