Starting from blues roots, Andrew Maloney, early in his life, was an avid drum set player and also had experience on other interments as well. As he got older, his talent grew, and he became more and more immersed in music. By the time he got into high school, he decided he wanted to part away from his blues mentality, and try something else. He was introduced to a track called "Starbright", and immediately knew what he was going to do. In his junior year he decided to combine his knowledge of drums, theory, and rhythm, and produce music himself.
