Patrick Idrame

Patrick Idrame is passionate about Africa and its culture, and his love of travel has taken him on many trips to West Africa since 1989. Patrick plays Djembe, kamélé n'goni and Kora. From 2005 to 2010 he accompanied Paul Sidibe, a Malian singer and player of the Malian Kamélé n'goni, with the Kamélé ngoni of Mali band, which performs in France and in Mali. He has also been a member of the Ariège-based band Les Chocolats Blancs (The White Chocolates) for more than 15 years. Patrick also accompanies Laurent Aman, an Ivorian storyteller, on Kora and Kamélé n'goni It was during a trip to Senegal in 2008 that he began learning the Kora in Ziguinchor, in Casamance.
