Vikthor is a hotly tipped techno DJ hailing from Italy’s Naples
region and whose talent was spotted early by Carl Cox.
His energetic style of driving techno fuses dark and intense
atmosphere with pounding percussion and captivating synth
lines.
After first making a name for himself on the Italian club scene,
he quickly became known for his invigorating DJ sets at many of
Italy’s most important clubs.
Following a natural progression towards making his own music,
Vikthor’s first official release came via Eric Powell’s Bush
Records, and shortly followed by an EP on The YellowHead’s
Reload, they were the first of his many hits. This success has
led him to pick up support by many of techno’s most influential
DJs including Spektre, Popof, Sian, 2000 and One, Ramiro
Lopez, Arjun Vagale, Fatima Hajji, Marco Bailey, Pan-Pot and
Adam Beyer.
His career took a major boost following the success of the track
“Twilo” by Elio Riso, as it was rated as one of the top tracks of
2018, and Carl Cox used it to open his set at the Ultra Music
Festival in Miami.
Carl Cox fell in love with the remix, and being a veteran of the
industry with an ear for talent, he could tell instantly that Vikthor
was something special. This led to Carl labelling Vikthor as one
of the next generation of techno stars, and signed him to his
label Intec.
After the success of releasing on Intec, Vikthor’s career has
continued to snowball and pick up momentum at an astonishing
pace. His collaborative track with Elio Riso called “Soul & Trip”
was remixed by Carl Cox and DJ Mag labelled it as one of
2020’s best tracks. In the same year he also made his return to
Bush Records, and released his debut album Low Profile.
Not taking his foot off the gas, he has started 2021 with a bang
and joined forces with Spain’s Oscar Aguilera for a four-track
collaborative release on Monika Kruse’s iconic label Terminal M.
Continuing his meteoric rise, in May 2021 he also launched his
own label VKT, which is a platform for him to release his own
tracks, but also provide a platform for likeminded others who
Vikthor has been supporting in his DJ sets.
Vikthor's career took a decisive turn in 2022, After his first tour
in Australia, Vikthor was announced by Tomorrowland as one
of future 4 stars also doing an interview at One World Radio.
Not stopping, Vikthor, Releases Moon & Stars in collaboration
with Adam K on Oliver Heldens' Heldeep and soon after his'
Love Desire 'remix for DJ Pierre, supported worldwide by the
greatest DJs and released on Afro Acid.
One of the most exciting young talents in techno, it seems clear
he is living up to the prophecy of Carl Cox to become a future
techno ruler for the next generation.
