
The diminishing landscape of electronic music in Tocantins resembles the cerrado, the local vegetation that, due to its nutrient-poor soil, forces flora to develop long roots to seek nutrients. Similarly, 25-year-old Tonaco had to broaden and deepen his research significantly to find musical references far from the reality of his region. Always focused on internationalizing his music, he developed his own distinctive sound identity, characterized by a strong and spatial progressive style, ideal for intense moments of the night. His productions manage to incorporate Brazilian groove, psychedelia, strong and dark tones, synthesizing a blend of influences ranging from jazz, bossa nova, samba to bands like Pink Floyd, and DJs/Producers Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J.
