S'Express

Among the first acts to take UK electronic dance music from the underground into the mainstream, S'Express is the brainchild of producer/DJ Mark Moore. Born and raised in London, Moore made a name for himself in 1983, when he began DJ'ing at the Mud Club. Moore quickly became a DJ favourite in London, getting a residency at Heaven and guesting at the seminal Acid House night Shoom. Moore helped popularise Chicago house and Detroit techno in Great Britain at his Pyramid nights in Heaven from 1985 onwards. In 1988, Moore made the leap from DJ to recording artist when he formed S'Express.
