Beautiful Japanese House Music to deal with memories

«Water Sun Rise» is the first release of Japanese artist and DJ Motomitsu. First extract of his forthcoming album, the song is an elegant House track build on electribal memories and distant love.

Motomitsu: «This song is about memories. There is sand dune by the sea in my hometown of Hamamatsu. I always go there. I went there with my family, my friends or my girlfriend. When I lived in Tokyo, I often remembered the sand dune and the sea. This place is my own home sweet home. Water, sun, birds, wind, waves, sand... These are always in my mind, even when I am in Tokyo, London or Paris.
Sometimes we must part from friends and family, we love each other but everyone has a life to live, some people can stay, other have to move. When you dance on my song, please close your eyes and think about your friends, family or lover who live so far away...»
The two tracks were co-produced by Motomitsu and Laurent Chambon, French co-founded of Cherry Juice Recordings with the very regretted Detroit House diva Aaron-Carl (R.I.P.). The original version was recorded on a DAT in the 1990s: the BPM was changing and it was not easy to synchronize modern programs with the 1990s beat variations.

The sleeve of the record was cooked exclusively by two very talented artists. Tetsu Tanigawa developped a logo for Motomitsu, based on his name written in katakana, the most geometric of the three Japanese writing systems. Sumi Endo from Nanoca Design created a series of folding papers, following the Japanese tradition of wrapping objects beautifully in papers with elegant patterns. This sleeve is the first of a complete series imagined by Motomitsu and these two artists for his releases, with special limited editions available in France and in Japan.
