In his debut album Villa 11 Rooms Florentin Berger-Monit aka Toju Kae wants to take us on a journey through his world and creates eleven unique, fantastic soundscapes, so intriguing and haunting that they will make you listen to the album again and again. In this concept album Toju Kae carries us through 11 very detailed and rich, but at the same time never overloaded tracks that perfectly showcase his proficient producer skills and his attention for detail. The tracks offer a blend of different styles covering downbeat, ambient, electro, easy-listening, lo-fi, IDM and post-dubstep with glitchy synths, clear clicks, a few handpicked samples, classical piano and orchestral sounds and catchy bass elements exquisitely selected, arranged and mixed to fuse to genre-defying walls of sound that suddenly appear and vanish as quickly as they appeared, leaving the listener longing for more. Each track connects up to the ideas and feelings created by the previous songs to bring you further down the artists rabbit hole and this concept warps around the ends of the album to create a continuous flow of escheresque proportions. The tracks have classic 44 grooves and trudge along a beat from 100 to 140 bpm and project each their own mesmerizing mental imagery with glossy finish.
