When M.A.N.D.Y. revealed to us the two tracks that would become the symbolic 200th Get Physical release for her 10th birthday, we were floored. Cool lines, saucy percussion and a deep vibe. We jumped on it immediately, and 'Twisted Sister' became the resulting EP release. The title track struck a chord on the dancefloor and thoughts remixes spread quickly; which soon lead us here. We very excitedly present DJ Hell, Uffe and Ultrasone remixes of this gem! DJ Hell, one of the most respected old school techno gurus around, takes what was already a huge track, and spins pure gold out of it nearly 11 minutes worth. He opens with a thick groove driven by captivating percussion, slowly expanding it with a thick bassline and beautiful chord play. Taking things further, Hell throws a brilliant vocal sample over the mix, casting a peculiar atmosphere that feels right, just as such a track should. Uffe sent over his mix, which takes the lighter side but still emits the vibes of the original. The intro is a very delicate blend of percussion and muted chords, slowly building up the track. Then, back to the basics, a very warm analogue bassline under vocal cuts. This is where Uffe gets serious, the percussion is simple but dangerous in all the right ways. Igor Vicente and Vernon Bara, also known as Ultrasone, deliver a deep remix that is sure to heat up some late night floors. It's got everything you would hope to have in a heavy track, delayed chords, ambient samples, and a catching percussion track. The two capture such a mood with this remix and it adds yet another perspective to the release. Hell sent a second version at the last second ñ the 'Dehousing Berlin Mix' is another angle on the original, playing off the ambient vibes in the track with a (obviously) different groove to it, instead of deep dancefloors we focus on cool electronica moods. When all is said and done, this is a very solid remix package, with something for every style of playing and every listening taste.
