Flashmob's Flashmob LTD label continues to set trends with a new EP from the exciting talent that is Boxia. His Tribes & States EP features three tracks of floor filling house music that will again get played far and wide in the coming months. Boxia is a mysterious UK producer who has churned out some robust jams that have found favour with the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick and Randomer. He has remixed for Food Music and Waveforms and is very much on the rise. Excellent opener here The Hunt has already been getting played by the big hitting likes of Alan Fitzpatrick on the influential Drumcode radio show. It is a solid tech cut with heavy drums and raved up synth stabs. Some diva vocals add real party starting soul and its not hard to see this one really setting clubs alight. The deeper Nomad is a raw and shapeshifting cut with dubby undercurrents, more skewed synth stabs and a late night sense of groove that will make bodies move. It is functional but fun and is expertly produced so as to jump out of the speakers. Last but not least, the more barrelling Tribu is a moody, patient dub techno cut with gorgeously airy hi hats and weighty drums. It is a back room or basement groove for the more underground crowds and has a serious sense of propulsion in its well crafted bones. This is a serious EP from a serious label and is sure to win the unknown Boxia yet more fans around the world.
