Milwaukee based Richard Richard makes his first 2012 appearance with "Toro." Listening to this tantalizing track, one hears deep cool pads, a straight-forward grooving bassline, and an infectiously melodic hook reminiscent of early Chicago house and Detroit techno. This all falls in line with Richards clear cut thinking in repurposing classic sounds that were developed close to where he grew up.

"Toro" receives a number of fantastic treatments via the various remixers included here.

Whatever/Whatever (Justin Strauss & Bryan Mette) transforms the original into something absolutely succulent, with breathier pads, airy background elements, and a melodic bass. Wool delivers a deep, slow house burner that is guaranteed to keep late night parties thumping. Marcos Cabral (Runaway/On The Prowl) constructs a simple, beautiful, and direct remix, taking on an almost dub-like flavor. Populette (Throne of Blood) puts forth an 80s electro makeover dedicated especially to the one and only Rok One. Asher Diamonds entices with its lush synths, subtly layered percussion, and driving bassline. Finally Kid Color completes the package with his up-tempo, cosmic kraut-rock inspired interpretation. tors.
