Haul Music is SO on a roll. After casting the genre-net a little wider and releasing our first flat-out house music jam on HAUL010, we've decided to cast it wider again and release Nick Coleman's genuine epic, "This City I Love". We're pretty sure it's a song about Melbourne, Australia. Nick is from Melbourne. Haul Music is from Melbourne. It feels right. What's not right is the fact that music promotion is all about genres these days, and this one just doesn't properly fit into any genre. We'd love to explain the song in better detail, but to be honest, words just cant do it justice. What we can tell you is this: DJ Hell has signed it for a Gigolo CD compilation, and it's got an absolutely BE-YOU-TIFUL string section, African vocal samples, and an entirely unique arrangement. But that's enough... for Nick Coleman is a true artist whose work is best consumed, rather than verbalised. To complement the package, Mike Callander has once again taken on remix duties. This time Mike favoured a stripped-back approach designed to let the strings sing. We envision early morning dancefloors lighting up when it drops.
