The colombian duo BulbMakers are the creators of the album "The Blue Bus", the first release of Galapago Recordings. Hector Vera & Martin Gutierrez team up to present five beautifully structured tracks, all truly unique in their own way. The first one on the album is "The Old In-Out", whose continuos bass-line balances up with sexy vocals and serious synth-work. Following is "The Desert", featuring the vocals of Kike Velez. The pensive synths on this track lead up to a mystic trip through ever-changing themes and feelings, filled with the mixture between the melodic bass and the vocals. The track called as the album, "The Blue Bus" marks a more ground-based song with just a few distinctive sounds and instruments. The background of the track is based on a single organ note, and the vocals fill up to create an eery sense. As the album continues to evolve, you can start to feel that mystic being overlapped by something more powerful. "Coming" gives you that excitability from the beginning, and its marked melodic bass and synths build up into a very potent piece. "Vivienne" is the black duck on the album; its different from the rest of the tracks. This can only be described as a serious floor destroyer, and the BulbMakers leave their mark with a fascinating bass work on the middle and end of the track.
The Shameless & Pinedo made a wonderful work on remixing "The Blus Bus". They take the track and give it a slight change, emphasizing a great drum work and using the original vocals to create an ambient feeling throughout the remix.
