After a series of remixes and collaborations it was about time to have some originals from label owner Fernando Daxtaohh wait, that's me !! Not in the mood for shameless auto info sheets ( at least for this one ;) so here I am with what I've been up to in the last few months . A new EP containing 3 tracks plus a remix by the one and only PHILIPPE QUENUM who joins our palmares of reknown prestige collaborations. With the first track, Anthropocene , I try to set the mode for an easy night start. The day I recorded it a friend posted a video that matched the track so well that I decided to add that piece of pro-environmental information for us here dancers in Westernland. WIth Sun Spots I also played with documentary material, but on the other way around, as I departed from 2012, Science or Superstition, film that I actually recommend ;). It got me into the mood for this swingy tech house groover that would tweak things up through a tense break and up to the soundscapes of pumping techno. Quenum, one of the most respected artists and best human beings that I've had the chance to meet in this sometimes weird electronic music world, showed himself very keen on it and proposed to work on a remix. Of course we enthusiastically embraced the idea as not only we simply LOVE the man (can you tell?) but also because we knew that he would certainly add big magic to the original through both his personal natural-Afrikanische-born groove and his tremendous production skills. And I think it has definetely been the case. His long build up creates a deep evolving vibe that I'm sure it will make the wonders of all refined jockeys out there. Lastly, Home Is in Your Heart came out on of one of those melodic-thankfulhappy-days. Its groove is simple and its melody was written together with my Chilean friend and musical maestro Matias Galvez during a session held last Summer in Mexico City. A BIG SHOUT goes to him for this great moment of musical sharing. Enough blabla folks. I hope you enjoy the release and, if that is the case, don't forget the support thing!!
